Reader / Joint Safeguarding Lead / District Church Council Secretary -
Canon Ann Nicholl
Ann worshipped for some years at All Souls in the 1980's and fortunately for us returned in September 2015
when she retired from full time work.
Ann is keen to be involved in the mission and outreach of the church and part of that work will
be to encourage the use of the church by our local schools, as with such an iconic building to use, we
have a real opportunity to be part of the education of the young people.
Ann believes that with the development of the various facilities, such as the Undercroft, we can be involved in reaching out to support the needs of our local community.
We are fortunate to benefit from Ann's background of working with Children. She is active in involving the children in the life and activities of the Church and its worship. Its a pleasure to hear a child being instrumental in delivering the intercessions or a group of children sharing what they have been doing during the service.
Ann has a can do attitude and will be instrumental in seeking out funding for a project, or supporting others to develop their ministries, or representing us at Deanery Synod.

Colin Pearson
Colin grew up on the Yorkshire Moors in a small village and became involved in Church life from an early age. He learnt to play the organ in his teanage years and also learnt to bell-ring at the famous Church at Whitby next to the Abbey.
Spending 11 years in America in the 1990's doing voluntary work at a school for children with learning disabilites, Colin also found find to sing in the renowned Men and Boys Chor at the Washington Memorial Chapel in Valley Forge National Park, Pennsylvania, before singing with the Valley Forge Men and Boys Choir, before returning back to the United Kingdom.
Qualifying as a Social Worker, Colin spent several years working with people with physical disabilities and older people in residential care. He then returned to the charitable sector, where he has worked for 11 years with people with complex palliative care needs, and managing a volunteer led visiting service.
Colin became Churchwarden in June 2022, after spending many years after being Deputy Organist and serving on the District Church Council. He is often found with a broom, duster, paintbrush or working on the next Church project.

District Church Council Deputy Chair/Treasurer -
Dave Horsman
Dave is almost the oldest relic at All Souls' and if its happened he's probably either done it or had his hands in it.
Dave association with All Souls' started as a Leader for the Boys Brigade and since then he has been Churchwarden and has literally held the Church up and together, being the only member on the Building Committee during the more difficult years.
These days in his dotage, Dave is often found double checking all is correct for Mass, orchestrating the Servers in their duties, and as if it isn't enough doing the finances for All Souls', he also is Treasuer for Saint Martins.

Reader -
Janet Kramer
As a Reader, Jan's time is split between All Souls' and Saint Michael's Headingley, as we havent managed to convert her fully yet!
As the shortest member of our congregation, she is usually heard but not seen from behind our huge lecturn when giving her sermen or leading our prayers.

Organist & Sacristan -
Keith Senior
Keith is the oracle of All Souls'. He knows its history inside and out, and has held the Church together as Sacristan and many countless tasks overs the years. Keith was the key historian in providing much of teh content of our new guidebook, and we are glad that we have managed to gather a lot of the information taht he holds in his head.
It would be fair to say that it is because of Keith's warm welcome and friendly converstaion, that so many people have been drawn into All Souls' over the years, both viistors and congregation.
Keith's organ career included playing for years at Ossett Parish Church, with an Abbott and Smith organ similar to ours at All Souls'. He was also organist and choirmaster at Dewsbury Parish Church and many more throughout West Yorkshire. You can always tell when Keith is at All Souls', as the organ will be playing, and the distinctive growl from the organ that enhances our Anglo Catholic worship will resound throughout the building.
